Visualizing
Is your thinking limiting, or open to possibilities? Sure, there are physical limitations. Wishing the sun would rise in the west instead of the east is futile. Believing the world was flat and if God meant man to fly He'd have given him wings was limiting. Be open without assuming that everything new is better.
What you think programs your body more than your genes do. Letters come in from all kinds of folks who hate their bodies - tall who want to be short, short want to be tall, thin people who want to gain weight. A lot of energy goes into maintaining what they don't want with perpetual self put downs.
(If the negative noise about you is coming from another person, realize that what you are hearing is THEIR problems, it is all about THEM, you are just a target, easier to aim at than a mirror.)
Wishing for a radically different body type is wishful thinking. Taking up a new sport and imagining yourself doing it well is positive thinking. Visualizing yourself as attractive and confident is positive. Wishing for a better body without taking action is wishful. Putting up with negative, hopeless, critical messages playing over and over in your head is negative. Listen to the chatter, change the message, replay and replace the messages.
